Hi Welcome to my first blog.
I have the privalege of going over to Tanzania in June to visit Shabani, our Compassion sponsor child and visiting our good friend, Enock who we met at Haggai Institute last year. He works with African Enterprise and wants to show me some of their work with children in Tanzania.
On July 4th I join a team from Wesley Institute,where I am studying for my Masters in Christian Counselling. We will present lectures for nurses on trauma counselling. As the nurses are usually first on the scene when there has been a trauma. As many of the nurses do the training they realise they are also traumatised and have to work through this before they can really help their traumatised patients. I will be helping Dr. Graham Barker present the lectures and then facilitate small group work.We will be teaching in the capital, Kampala and also deeper into Uganda- near the Rwandan, Tanzanian border.
